Gorgeous Bouquets

Last week we had the inspiration to share with you some of the most stunning wedding bouquet photos captured by some of our photographers.

Being fans of flicking through wedding magazines for floral arrangments, I dare you not to look at this inspiration and instantly fall in love with them.

The One With The Unseen Footage - Competition

Here at Specialens HQ(!), we are so dedicated in showcasing our photographers’ work in the most creative way.  Now, we are trying to push creativity to another level through “The One With The Unseen Footage” competition.

It’s a fun way for photographers to show another aspect of their work with a twist. At Specialens, we love gorgeous settings, beautiful brides and photo-journalistic styles but now we are looking for those timeless unexpected moments of restless yawns and big smashes.

So, how does the idea of creating “The One With The Unseen Footage” competition for those funny weddingmoments sound like?

I think it sounds like a great idea!

I work mainly in the North West, London & the South East. I've been married for nearly ten years and I have a little girl called Sophie, who is 20 months and completely adorable! Introducing Albert Palmer

Introducing another talented wedding photograher from Specialens.com.. Albert Palmer is  Bristol based wedding photographer with a creative reportage style. Started off just two years ago Albert has the skills and creativity to make each wedding special and unique..

{SL}Hi Albert, could you firstly tell our readers a little bit about yourself?

Albert Palmer Photography is me, Albert - a 29 year old full time professional wedding photographer living in Bristol. I started photographing weddings two years ago. The very first was for a friend. I asked her if I could take some photos of her getting ready as they didn’t have a photographer. I don't know why I asked her, I had no dreams of being a wedding photographer. But when I looked at the photos, I was amazed.

Follow The Bride - Week 1

Our bride to be Claire shares with us the run up to her big day….

OMG! I’m engaged! Just a few months ago my boyfriend Christos proposed whilst on a romantic holiday in Spain.  Christos and I met at work in April 2009 and our  whole romance was a bit of a whirlwind. Five-months later Christos moved in with me. Ten months later in early December 2010 we found out I was pregnant. This wasn't planned, let's just say I don't trust the mini pill anymore! We talked about getting married before the baby arrived but I really wanted to enjoy a glass of champagne or two on my wedding day so we decided to wait until after the baby was born.

Theme of the week: Vintage

Vintage continues to be a very popular choice for many brides-to-be. Styles of yesteryear offer a timeless elegance that some modern day weddings find difficult to beat. Vintage is normally associated with the 1920s, 30s and 40s. If you love the swinging twenties, Introduce feathers in your flower bouquets; have your stylist create 20s inspired hair styles; drape strings of pearls over silver candelabras; If you prefer a more subtle approach, pick out an element, such as a certain colour or detail, and use throughout your wedding theme.
